BEAUTY NEW IN: EVE LOM SHEER RADIANCE TRANSLUCENT POWDER

Ever since I first laid my hands upon a sample of Eve Lom's legendary Cleanser I have been a die-hard fan. I've stocked up on a big pot of the Cleanser and multiple muslin cloths and am this close to nabbing the Morning Time Cleanser too. The Eve Lom website have a great offer on at the moment - they send you a perfect travel sized 30ml pot of Cleanser with every order over £40. Run!

So - given my new found love for all things Lom, I was very excited about the new make-up offering. I won't lie -  fuelled by Lisa Eldridge's rave review - there may even have been a pre-order.
This powder replaced my Shu Uemura Sheer Face Powder which I've been pretty loyal to over the past few years. However, sometimes I feel it has a bit of a dulling effect on my skin if I'm accidentally a little heavy handed with it.

When I first tried the Eve Lom powder I was concerned a little too much came out of the brush and it was hard to control how much powder you apply. I'm used to applying my powder with a powder puff rather than a brush and only like a light sweep to mattify around the forehead, nose and chin. However, having used it a few times and become confident with the application I can safely say I LOVE IT! It mattifies perfectly (my number one concern), allows for light application and leaves my face with a nice glow. There is no dusty, powdery look that I sometimes find there is with Shu Uemura.
It's also the perfect size to pop in your bag for a top up during the day. Perfecto!

WISH LIST: FRESH THINKING

Untitled #33

With Spring in the air, I'm lusting after the same sorts of things I always end up hankering for at this time of year. All things fresh, floral, crisp and clean!

New pjs sets (all perfectly folded neatly in the drawer of course), watercolour florals and jacquard with neon trim? Yes please. Fresh scents come courtesy of Creed's wonderfully hopeful Spring Flower, Diptyque's Menthe Verte candle and a lavender scented oval.

My attention is also moving towards upcoming trips abroad, starting with Morocco next month!
So I'm hoping to snare these printed trousers for trips to the souks, a floppy hat (for lounging by the pool) and these cool (yet walkable) chunky heeled sandals would be such a welcome addition to my wardrobe! They'll work with midi dresses and cuffed jeans alike.

50/50 BOOTS IN ACTION

This was a rather spontaneous outfit post - hence the messy, messy background (seriously could not have put together a more hotchpotch background if I'd tried - there's even a bike rack in evidence) and poor lighting!

I'm wearing: Topshop blazer, Whistles sculptured top, Topshop Jamie Jeans, Russell & Bromley Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots and Bijoux by Desi F necklace.

NEW IN: STUART WEITZMAN 50/50 BOOTS

I've admired the 50/50 boots from afar for... well, years. They are just such a classic style that endures year on year. I visited these boots repeatedly before taking the plunge, but they've absolutely been worth it.

I've often struggled to find boots that go with skirts and dresses as well as jeans, but these boots fit the bill for nigh on every outfit, are incredibly flattering and give such a polished edge. I went for the suede rather than leather because the suede is somehow less in your face. It's more subtle than leather when venturing into over the knee territory. Yes, suede requires a bit more TLC but that's fine with me.

(Top tip if you're considering the 50/50s: I'm normally a size 3 but ended up getting the boots in a 2.5. I was terrified I'd made a dreadful mistake, but I was right to trust the Russell & Bromley salesperson's advice. These boots do stretch!)

Outfit posts to follow!
