FOR THE LOVE OF J.CREW

Clockwise: J.Crew tee with Topshop leather leggings and J.Crew clutch, Whistles sculpted top with J.Crew shorts, J.Crew clutch, shorts and tee, Selected Femme top with J.Crew navy shorts
As Instagram followers might have noticed, I spent quite a significant proportion of my time in America seeking out the closest J.Crew store and working my way through the rails therein.
I love the selection of prints that are used in outfits as one would use a neutral and the beautiful costume-esque crystal jewellery. What's more, the service was impeccable, making the whole shopping experience so enjoyable. The staff were so smiley, helpful (whipping out an iPad to convert the cost of my haul into sterling to ensure I hadn't spent ridiculous amounts!) and friendly - you're on first name terms from the off.
I had to be selective due to a rapidly diminishing pile of dollars, but it would have been a breeze to add nearly everything to my wardrobe. In reality, I chose a few classic items that I know will earn their place in no time at all. Or at least tide me over until J.Crew arrives on our shores in November...

I bought:
3" Chino shorts in sea horse print and plain navy
Crystal earrings (similar here)
Invitation cork clutch
Grey knit cocoon sweater

  1. Love all your J Crew pics but I was interested in the stripe tee and was wondering what size you bought it in and what size you normally take so I can get a better gauge of their sizing? I want to order but keep thinking it's a long way for it to come and a long way for it go back if it doesn't work out. Thanks.

    1. Yup I completely understand! I got a size small in the stripe top. I'm a uk size 8. The size small ensures a looser fit, so more like a uk 10 I'd say. XS fit nicely as well, I just wanted to ensure some looseness and protect myself against shrinkage!! Hope that helps. X

  4. I'm equally obsessed with J Crew - I tend to order online as we don't have one in NZ, through their US store and have it shipped via my US mailbox (this turns out to be cheaper both in the sale price and the shipping price).

They have some of the best prints, really after some cashmere but I always hesitate as it is pricey!

  7. Fabulous purchases, Olivia. I like everything you got. And these posts made me nostalgic about New York. In my ideal life I'd travel there at least once a year :)

  8. PS: I'm waiting for their London opening to get a monogrammed jumper. I've wanted one for ages. In fact, I'm like monograms in general. They look great in bags/clutches as well...
